Ingredients

Gin - I love using a Gin that truly compliments the ingredients in my cocktails. When combining fruits with gin similar to this recipe, look for a Gin that is infused with ingredients like botanicals, berries, citrus etc. In this scenario we would recommend using a London Dry Gin. They usually contain strong notes of juniper and citrus. We used Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin for this recipe because it is made from a combination of ten botanicals and paired perfectly with our ingredients.

Sparkling Water - I used Fever Tree Tonic Water I prefer using sparkling water or seltzer instead of soda for less calories. But you can also use sprite or flavored seltzers if you are looking for a little bit more sugar.

Lemon Juice - Try not to buy those lemon-concentrate squeeze bottles. Opt out for freshly squeezed lemons. Not only does it taste better, but it's also better for you and does not have additives or preservatives.

Garnish: Rim Seasoning - I used a blend of salt, sugar, cracked peppercorn and citric acid to create our rim seasoning. If you are not able to get your hands on citric acid, try giving Cool Runnings Lemon Pepper Seasoning. I know it sounds odd but the seasoning from Cool Runnings actually is an amazing substitute and only contains extra ingredients such as garlic. We've made this cocktail with both and you really do not notice the garlic flavouring in the seasoning from Cool Runnings, making for an almost identical experience.

Garnish: Fruits & Citrus - I used fresh whole blackberries and lemons. Feel free to add additional fruits and citrus ingredients, but in my opinion this recipe is perfect with just the raspberries and lemon.
